How to play Chop Chop

Chop Chop is a Timberman-style reflex game: an endless tree, an axe, and one rule — tap the side you want to chop from, and never chop while a branch hangs over your head on that side.

Controls

Tap the left or right half of the screen (or use the left/right arrow keys) to chop from that side. Your lumberjack teleports to the side you tap and chops in one motion, so every tap is both a move and a strike.

The timer

A timer bar drains constantly and every chop refills a slice of it — so you can't play slow and careful. The deeper you chop, the faster it drains, gently forcing you toward the speed where mistakes happen.

Tips

Read the branch above the branch: your next move should be decided by the second branch down, not the one you're about to dodge. Fall into an alternating rhythm and let your eyes lead your hands by one chop. Most deaths are double-taps — one tap too many on the same side straight into a branch — so make each tap a decision, however fast. Short bursts of total focus beat long wobbly runs.
