How to play Lunar Drop

Lunar Drop is a modern take on the arcade classic Lunar Lander: gravity pulls your ship down, your thruster pushes back, and the whole game is the negotiation between the two. Ease onto the landing pad slowly and level — come in fast or crooked and you're a crater.

Controls

Hold to fire the main thruster, and tilt with the left/right keys or by tapping the screen edges. Watch your descent speed readout: it's the difference between a landing and an obituary.

Scoring

Pads vary: wide pads are forgiving, narrow ones pay triple. Each level tightens the pads and roughens the terrain, and your fuel is finite — burned fuel is lost score, so efficiency and safety pull against each other exactly as they should.

Tips

Kill your horizontal drift early and arrive above the pad, then descend the last stretch vertically — trying to translate sideways during final approach is the classic fatal mistake. Use short thruster pulses rather than long burns; let gravity do the travelling and spend fuel only to trim. If an approach goes wrong, burn and go around while you still have altitude. Slow is smooth, smooth is score.
