Controls

Arrow keys or WASD on desktop; swipe in any direction on a phone, or use the on-screen directional pad. The snake turns on the next grid step, so inputs slightly ahead of time feel smoothest.

Scoring

Every piece of food grows your snake and adds to your score. The danger scales itself: the longer you get, the more of the board is your own deadly tail.

Tips

The classic technique is mowing the lawn: sweep the board in tight S-shaped rows so your body stays in predictable lines instead of loose coils. Never chase food with a sharp double-turn — that's how you clip your own neck. When you're long, think about your tail's position as much as your head's: the space your tail is about to vacate is often the safest place to go. Corners kill more snakes than anything else, so enter them shallow.
