How to play Brick Blitz Deluxe

Brick Blitz is a deluxe breakout / brick breaker: bounce the ball off your paddle to smash through endless walls of bricks, collect falling power-ups, and keep the ball in play.

Controls

Drag with your finger or mouse to move the paddle, or use the arrow keys on desktop. The ball's bounce angle depends on where it strikes the paddle — hit with the edge for a sharp angle, the centre for a straight return.

Power-ups

Destroyed bricks sometimes drop capsules: catch them with the paddle. Wide paddle makes returns easier, slow-mo tames a ball that's gotten too fast, extra life is self-explanatory, and multiball splits the ball — chaos, but the fastest way to clear a wall. Multi-hit blocks need several strikes and are worth prioritising with multiball active.

Tips

Aim deliberately with the paddle edges: steering the ball into the gap behind a wall lets it bounce along the top row, shredding bricks for free. When multiple balls are live, defend the lowest one and let the rest fend for themselves. As levels advance the ball speeds up — the slow-mo capsule is worth more than it looks.
