The game from the ads, for real

You have probably seen the ads: a pile of gold, a pool of lava, a few pins, and a player who pulls the wrong one. Most of those fake ad games turn out to be something else entirely once you install them. Zenta Pins is the pull the pin puzzle itself, done properly and playable right here in your browser, with no download, no install and no account.

Zenta Pins is a pull-the-pin puzzle with real physics and reacting materials. Every level is a set of glass vessels held shut by golden pins. Pull a pin and whatever it was holding pours out. Get as much gold as you can into the treasure chest at the bottom.

Controls

Tap or click a pin (or its ring handle) to pull it out. Keys 1-9 pull pins from top to bottom, H shows a hint, B opens the recipe book and R restarts the level. When the chest is full enough, Collect ends the level early. Music and sound have their own switches in the menu.

Alchemy

Gold touching grey stone turns the stone into gold, so stones are free treasure. Lava melts any gold it touches, but water cools lava into stone, which your gold can then gild. Acid dissolves gold and stone and eats through wooden walls, and water cancels it out. A single drop of lava sets off a bomb, which breaks cracked rock nearby, while water turns a bomb into a dud. In the Frost Caves, water that touches ice freezes solid where it stands, so you can freeze a bridge over a gap; lava melts ice back into water and cools to stone, and a bomb blast shatters it.

Stars

The gold bar at the top shows three star marks. Every level was solved by a computer search, so three stars are always possible. A failed level simply restarts, and the hint lights up the next pin to pull.

Tips

Order is everything: cool the lava before the gold arrives, drain extra acid away before it can reach the chest, and let gold fall onto stones before you release them, and keep water away from ice you still need to melt. Not every pin should be pulled.
